As a child when someone said the word hero, I instantly thought of Spider-man. He was keen, agile, and self-sacrificing. Every generation needs heroes, someone who stands up for those who being hurt. Who are our heroes today? What injustices exist in our nation that needs to be stopped? It is my hope that this generation will rise up and do what is right. We have the power to not only lead our nation in progress but the world. I believe that as a nation, we should not sweep our social problems under the rug. I believe we should spread awareness of the current injustices such as slavery, poverty, starvation, and many more. Because only then, can we begin to work together to help stop these societal problems.
